This Privacy Policy explains how PleyMeikel collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information related to users of PleyMeikel Pro, PleyMeikel Labs, and other services linked to the platform.

PleyMeikel offers a sports streaming experience for viewers and hosting, publishing, production, streaming, and video distribution tools for creators and organizations. Data processing may vary depending on the service used, activated features, the user's relationship with PleyMeikel, and applicable legislation.

Who is responsible for this policy

Daniel Brito, a sole trader in the Dominican Republic, is the legal owner and operator of PleyMeikel, which operates under the trade name PleyMeikel Inc. In this document, “PleyMeikel”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the service and its owner.

“Inc” is part of the trade name and does not mean that PleyMeikel is an incorporated company.

Who this Policy applies to

This Policy applies to individuals who use PleyMeikel Pro, PleyMeikel Labs, websites, and other functions or services of PleyMeikel when these involve personal data processing.

This may include viewers, creators, streamers, athletes, team representatives, clubs, leagues, federations, institutions, production companies, media outlets, programs, sports organizations, and other individuals interacting with our services.

Data you provide directly

We may process information you provide when creating or managing an account, setting up a profile, using PleyMeikel Labs, contacting support, completing forms, or using a feature that requires information.

Depending on the service, this may include name, email address, phone number, country, language, avatar, profile information, preferences, organization details, data entered in Sports Database, support communications, and any other information you choose to provide through enabled fields.

Profiles and use of PleyMeikel Pro

When you use PleyMeikel Pro, we may process information related to your profiles and your use of the catalog.

This may include the selected profile, preferences, content played, playback progress, usage-related history, interactions with the catalog, and signals used to provide features such as continue watching, organizing your experience, or generating recommendations when enabled.

Data related to PleyMeikel Labs

When you use PleyMeikel Labs, we may process data necessary to manage your workspace, tools, membership, content, and production.

This may include account information, primary organization, registered entities and participants, content configurations, videos, streams, thumbnails, covers, titles, descriptions, languages, subtitles, dubbing, publishing settings, processing statuses, and other necessary information to deliver the functions you use.

Videos, streams, and other content

When a user uploads, streams, or manages content via PleyMeikel Labs, PleyMeikel, and the necessary service providers may process the associated file, audio, images, metadata, and settings.

This processing may be required to store the content, convert it into compatible formats or resolutions, play it back, distribute it, generate previews, manage streams, perform requested linguistic functions, moderate content, protect the platform, or comply with legal obligations.

Processing content for these purposes does not mean that PleyMeikel automatically acquires ownership of the material.

Technical and usage data

When you use our websites, web applications, or services, we may receive technical information generated by your interaction with the platform.

Depending on the service and technology used, this information may include IP address, device type, browser, operating system, language, technical identifiers, activity logs, pages or functions used, errors, security events, approximate network data, and other information necessary to operate, protect, analyze, or diagnose the services.

Billing and payments

When you subscribe to a membership, make a recharge, or pay for another service, PleyMeikel and the corresponding payment services process the necessary information to identify and complete the transaction, issue receipts, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.

Depending on the transaction, this information may include your name, country, contact and billing details, payment method, amount, currency, transaction status, and reference.

The entities involved in a payment may have their own data processing obligations. A deletion request does not remove records that must be retained legally.

Payment-related data for creators

When a creator is eligible to receive payments from monetization, we may process the necessary information to calculate, verify, deliver, and document those payments.

This may include the email address of the account the creator uses as the payment destination. To set up this destination, you must not provide passwords, authentication codes, or private keys.

Payments to creators are managed separately from membership charges, recharges, and other services.

Support information and communications

When you contact PleyMeikel through the Help Center or another enabled channel, we may process the information included in your request, the data necessary to identify your account, and the related incident history.

You should not send passwords, authentication codes, private keys, or other secrets that are not required to receive assistance.

How we use your data

We may use personal information to create and manage accounts, deliver requested services, play and distribute content, maintain profiles and progress, manage memberships, facilitate billing processes, provide support, enable PleyMeikel Labs tools, process requested AI functions, improve your experience, maintain security, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.

Not all of these purposes apply to every user. The processing depends on the features used and the specific relationship between the user and PleyMeikel.

Legal bases for processing

When applicable law requires identifying a legal basis, PleyMeikel may process data because it is necessary to provide a service or perform a contract with the user, to comply with legal obligations, to pursue legitimate interests compatible with the user's rights, or because valid consent exists when required.

The applicable basis may vary depending on the type of data, purpose, feature used, and jurisdiction. When processing relies on consent, users may withdraw it according to the conditions and rights established by applicable law, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

Recommendations and personalization

PleyMeikel may use signals related to profiles, preferences, progress, and interaction with the catalog to personalize the experience when these features are available.

These signals help organize content, remember your progress, and display recommendations. Recommendations may not always align with your interests.

Artificial intelligence and automated services

Certain PleyMeikel Labs features use artificial intelligence or automated services to assist with Pavira, translations, subtitles, dubbing, and other available tools.

When you request one of these functions, the necessary information is processed by PleyMeikel and the relevant technology providers to carry out the task.

Technology providers

To deliver the service, PleyMeikel uses specialized technology providers for web infrastructure, storage, video distribution and streaming, artificial intelligence, billing, creator payments, email, and security. Some dubbing and voice features use ElevenLabs.

The data shared depends on the function you use and is limited to what is necessary to provide it. Using a function does not mean all your data are sent to all services.

Recipients and disclosure of information

We may share information with service providers who assist in operating PleyMeikel, processing payments, hosting or distributing content, performing requested functions, sending communications, protecting the platform, or providing support.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with a law, judicial order, or valid request from a competent authority, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud or abuse, respond to claims, or establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.

Where applicable, these service providers will be subject to their own legal and contractual obligations regarding the information they process.

International data transfers

Due to the international nature of the technology services used by PleyMeikel, certain data may be processed or accessible from countries different from where the user is located.

When applicable law requires specific mechanisms for international transfer, PleyMeikel will use the required measures or legitimate mechanisms available for such transfer.

Data retention

PleyMeikel retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain an account, fulfill legal obligations, process transactions, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and protect rights.

Payment record retention

Deleting your account does not automatically delete records that PleyMeikel or other entities must retain legally. Applicable retention periods depend on the type of record and the corresponding obligations.

PleyMeikel may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to maintain sessions, remember preferences, secure accounts, measure performance, and preserve settings.

When legislation requires consent for certain non-essential technologies, appropriate controls will be provided.

The technologies used may vary across PleyMeikel Pro, PleyMeikel Labs, the Help Center, and other PleyMeikel sites or services.

Information security

PleyMeikel implements technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, improper disclosure, or other reasonably foreseeable risks.

Nevertheless, no internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security. Users should also protect their credentials, use available security controls, and report suspicious activities through official channels.

Minor privacy

PleyMeikel allows minors to participate in certain sports contexts, but their information requires special attention.

When a service involves data from a minor, appropriate authorizations, security measures, privacy settings, and other protections must be applied according to age, context, and applicable legislation.

The participation of a school, club, team, institution, or organization does not by itself constitute authorization for any processing of a minor's information.

Content featuring other people

Creators uploading content featuring athletes, interviewees, participants, or other individuals are responsible for obtaining the necessary authorizations and rights when required.

PleyMeikel may process images, voices, and other information contained in videos to provide the requested services, but the inclusion of a person in content does not automatically authorize any treatment or reuse outside the permitted purposes.

Privacy rights

Depending on the jurisdiction, users may have rights related to their personal data, such as requesting access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction, portability, or additional information about certain processing activities.

There may also be the right to withdraw consent when processing depends on it, or to file a complaint with a competent authority.

These rights may be subject to conditions, exceptions, and legal requirements. PleyMeikel may need to reasonably verify the identity of the requester before addressing certain requests.

Access, correction, or deletion requests

Users can use the PleyMeikel contact form to request assistance with their data or exercise the rights available in their jurisdiction.

A deletion request does not always result in immediate removal of all information. Certain data may be retained when necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, protect rights, or address other legitimate permitted purposes.

Data managed directly by providers

Some entities involved in the service may act as independent controllers regarding the data they process, for example, to fulfill their own obligations in a payment operation.

In such cases, a request directed to PleyMeikel does not automatically delete records lawfully maintained by another entity. You can contact our support team to request guidance on how to exercise your rights.

Automated decisions

PleyMeikel may use automated systems for technical tasks, security, recommendations, translation, and content processing.

If automated processing subject to specific legal requirements is introduced, the required information about its operation and applicable rights will be provided.

Business or structural changes

If, in the future, PleyMeikel participates in a reorganization, legitimate business transfer, acquisition, merger, asset sale, or other structural transaction, certain data may become part of the transferred information when legally permitted and necessary.

The Terms govern general platform usage, while this Policy specifically explains the handling of personal data.
